Silent Sentinels Sunday Walking Tour
Join a park ranger on Pennsylvania Avenue and walk in the footsteps of the suffragists.   The women’s suffrage movement was a large-scale civil rights campaign that lasted more than seven decades.  In the early 20th century, a new generation of suffragists, impatient with the lack of progress to win the vote, demanded an amendment to the constitution enfranchising women.
