The reservation includes a self-guided tour through the museum, Petersen House (the house where Lincoln died), and Aftermath exhibits. Because Ford's Theatre is an active theatre, some tours or tour elements may occasionally be unavailable. Free, same-day tickets may be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Ford's Theatre box office; supplies are limited.

Ford's Theatre closed for Facility Upgrades June 3 - August 31, 2026 Information

Ford's Theater and the Museum will temporarily close to public access on June 3, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Theater will remain closed until July 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The museum will remain closed until August 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The Petersen House, the Center of Experiential Learning, and the Atlantic Lobby will remain open to the public. National Park Service staff will be available at these locations to provide site tours and visitor information.
