General Management Plan Public Forum

Want to make your voice heard? Join the Honouliuli National Historic Site team at the Kapolei Public Library on February 24th from 4:30-7:00 PM to engage in one of our General Management Plan public forums.

What is a General Management Plan? General Management Plans are required by law for every unit of the national park system per the National Parks and Recreation Act of 1978. These plans provide high-level direction for park managers and help guide decisions about preserving cultural and natural resources, developing the infrastructure needed to support visitor use, and determining appropriate levels of visitor use and park boundaries. These meetings will allow the park to move one step closer to open public access in the future.

The public forum will not only inform the gateway communities of the proposed plans for the park but will also give members the opportunity to voice their input about their vision for park management.

We highly encourage all to attend so we can determine the future of the park together!
