Overview
Devils Garden Campground is located deep within the heart of beautiful Arches National Park in Southeastern Utah, at an elevation of approximately 5200 ft.. The campground is situated among natural sandstone arches and fins and is only 18 miles north of the park's entrance and 23 miles from Moab, Utah.
Recreation
Hiking trails are abundant in Arches, including the Broken Arch Trail, a scenic loop with a trailhead conveniently located within the campground. Trails are varied and offer something for everyone, from the easy 0.3-mile loop around Balanced Rock to the steep and strenuous 3-mile round-trip trail to Delicate Arch. Other recreational activities in the park include guided hiking tours of the Fiery Furnace, an off-road vehicle route, road biking and picnicking.Facilities
Devils Garden contains 51 campsites that are available for reservation (Including the two group sites and one accessibility site), offering visitors a great opportunity to stay overnight in a unique national park. Roads and parking spurs are paved, allowing smooth access for all types of travelers. A campground host is located on-site. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided, and campsites contain picnic tables and fire rings. The park does not have dump stations, or electric, water, or sewer hook-ups for RVs. There are also no showers. Firewood is not for sale at the campground. Please buy a coupon for firewood at the Visitor Center.
Natural Features
The campground is forested with mixed stands of Utah juniper and pinyon pine. Flowering prickly pear cacti, yucca and other desert wildflowers dot the landscape, offering vivid color to the surrounding red rock desert.
Arches National Park has the highest concentration of natural arches in the world. Over 2,500 of these unusual rock formations can be found here. Towering spires, fins and balanced rocks complement the arches, creating a remarkable assortment of landforms in a relatively small area. The park is within an arid, high desert environment with hot summers and cold winters.Nearby Attractions
Southeastern Utah offers breathtaking scenery, hiking, road and mountain biking opportunities, rafting and scenic driving routes. Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park are within a 45-minute drive of Arches' entrance. Moab offers numerous restaurants, shops and museums. The desert around Moab is a mountain biker's dream, with hundreds of miles of slickrock and single-track trails for all riding abilities.

Arches National Park is in the heart of canyon country in southeastern Utah and is considered one of America’s scenic wonders. The park preserves 76,679 acres of high desert on the Colorado Plateau, punctuated by rocky ridges, canyons, fins, towers, monoliths, pinnacles, and more than 2,000 arches. Elevations in the park range from 4,085 to 5,653 feet above sea level. Arches National Park becomes extremely crowded during the park’s busy season from March through October, with the highest visitation occurring in May, June, and September. Since 2010, more than 1 million visitors have visited the park each year. In 2022, Arches National Park will implement a pilot timed entry reservation system to gather data to inform long-term visitor use management at the park. Each private vehicle entering the park will need a Timed Entry reservation for each day the vehicle will be in the park between 6 am and 6 pm. The reservation-holder must be in the vehicle with photo identification when you arrive at the park. The Timed Entry reservation includes a $2.00 reservation fee which is separate from the park entrance fee. You may pay the fee by purchasing an Arches National Park entrance pass in advance. The park also honors annual or lifetime passes. Valid entrance passes accepted are: Southeast Utah Parks Annual Pass, Interagency Annual Pass, Interagency Senior Annual Pass, Interagency Access Pass, Interagency Lifetime Senior Pass, Interagency Volunteer Pass, Interagency Military Pass, Interagency 4th Grade Pass. Please Note: You may also purchase the entrance pass upon arrival at the park, but we encourage you to pre-pay the fee.

The Fiery Furnace, in beautiful Arches National Park, offers a labyrinth of narrow passageways and abrupt dead-ends among a series of sandstone fins.
Though it does not encompass a very large area, it is easy to become disoriented or lost. For this reason, and to protect native plants and soils, visitors must join a guided hike, or obtain a special permit, in order to enter the Fiery Furnace.
Ranger-guided hikes are offered into the Fiery Furnace daily, spring through fall. These popular 2 1/2 hour hikes are moderately strenuous, requiring the use of hands and feet to scramble up and through narrow cracks and along steep ledges above drop offs.

What to expect by season
Arches is part of the Colorado Plateau, a "high desert" region that experiences wide temperature fluctuations, sometimes over 40 degrees in a single day. The temperate (and most popular) seasons are spring (April-May) and fall (mid-September-October), when daytime highs average 60 to 80 F and lows average 30 to 50 F. Summer temperatures often exceed 100 F, making strenuous exercise difficult. Winters are cold, with highs averaging 30 to 50 F, and lows averaging 0 to 20 F.

Join us in protecting Arches National Park’s wildlife by picking up litter and keeping this stunning landscape clean. We will focus our trash pickup at popular parking lots in the park. This is a family friendly event, open to volunteers of all ages and abilities. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. We provide all the necessary equipment; please bring a water bottle and wear closed-toed shoes and a hat to protect you from the sun’s rays. Let’s work together to keep Arches pristine and beautiful!
