Begin your park visit at the visitor center. Here, you will find information on the park and the Battle of Guilford Courthouse through two interpretive movies and a museum. Rangers or volunteers at the information desk are glad to help you with answers and assistance.
The Visitors Center is open 9:00AM - 5:00PM, Wednesday through Sunday except on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. The Visitor Center will also be open on federal holidays that occur on Monday and Tuesday.

Start your visit at the Battlefield Visitor Center, located at 2332 New Garden Road, Greensboro NC 27410. The Visitors Center is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These facilities close to visitors and motor vehicle traffic on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.
The park is accessible by foot, and visitors are welcome to walk the trails until dusk.

What to expect by season

Winter is mild and cold with snow and ice possible in January and February. Wear comfortable clothing for the season and good walking shoes year round!

Throughout the fight for independence, patriots developed covert techniques to deliver hidden messages right under British noses. Junior Rangers will uncover the process behind sending undetectable letters using invisible ink and will write their own secret messages using a similar method. They will then dive deep into the world of codes and ciphers and decode hidden messages in primary source documents. Put your spy skills to the test!

In honor of Veterans Day, join us for a ranger-led guided hike of the battlefield. Along the hike, guests will learn about the battle of Guilford Courthouse and how infantry tactics of the time contributed to the battle's outcome. Reenactors will provide a musket demonstration during the hike.
The hike is 1.5 miles. It should take about 90 minutes.
Note: The hike is subject to change and/or cancelation due to inclement weather, heat, or other unforeseen circumstances. Weather-appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes are recommended. Hikers should carry water.

Getting There
2332 New Garden Road
Greensboro, NC 27410
Guilford Courthouse National Military Park is located along US 220 and New Garden Road. To reach the Visitor Center, drive East on New Garden Road and turn right into the parking lot when you see the stone sign “Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.” If you drive down Old Battleground Road, do not drive through the Forest Lawn cemetery, this is a dead end and is not connected to the National Park.
