A water main leak has resulted in closure of the restroom facilities at Opal Beach. The facilities will remain closed until park staff can locate and repair the damaged line supplying water to the facilities.

Fort Pickens road will reopen late afternoon May1st. Campers should call the reservation line 877-444-6777 or 850-934-2622 and leave message. Some parking lots/pavilions are still closed due to water and sand. For updated conditions call 850-934-2656

Fort Massachusetts has been experiencing periodic flooding due to recent rain storms, causing park staff to close the fort for periods of time until the water recedes. Park staff will assess fort conditions daily and open the fort when conditions allow.
Fort Pickens Road Closure

The Fort Pickens Road is closed to all inbound and outbound traffic as of 3:30 pm on March 6, 2017. The road will be reassessed at 7:00 pm. Visitors may call the Fort Pickens Road hotline 850-934-2656 for updates.
